[nagdu] guide dogs in hotels

Jack,

With all due respect, it is never a good idea to let a place of public accommodation know you will be accompanied by a service dog. What purpose does such advance notice serve? Places of public accommodation must modify their policies, practices, and procedures to allow a person with a service dog the same access to their goods and services as others.

Fraternally yours,
Marion Gwizdala

It's always a good idea to contact the motel prior to arrival so that they know that you have a service animal with young.

This will be my first time “away from home” with York, and I welcome any travel tips you have. Are there any do’s and don’ts of staying in hotels? Should I contact the hotel in advance to say that York is coming with me? Do you bring a crate for your dog, or just a bed?
