Jack,

	I can understand you wanting a lower floor because of your personal preference and limitations; however, it might be better to state it this way, rather than because of your dog. As for it being a "courtesy", which is less courteous - to not give advance notice or to be discriminated against because of your guide dog?

The reason that I contact the motel and let them know that I'm using a service animal is because I prefer the lower level and to be close to a door as I am a senior citizen and I'm not able to get around very well and so that is the reason for telling the people that I am using the dog and also it's a courtesy to the motel that
