When I got my first SE dog, Ned, August 1972, we fed half kibble (Purina), and half raw ground horse meat. To help bond, we were told to mix it all together by kneading it with our hands. We were told that when we got home we should replace the horse meat with a quality canned food, like Alpo. Best, Ed Meskys
