[nagdu] Picking up in the Snow?

Oh yes, I used to struggle with this as well and probably will in the
future.  I agree with the others.  Try to get at it quickly...  Also,
align yourself to the dog even more carefully than you normally would.
 Try to have your foot pointing exactly where you think you have to
reach(based on where the dog is standing).

The other problem that I used to have was that after Brieby was done,
she would run and try to play in the snow.  I would calm her down of
course, but that initial burst of energy usually sent my direction a
little off course.  Getting sighted help is a good idea.  I used to do
that some, but it's not always possible.  Also, clearing the spot
ahead of time is good, unless you have feet of snow to deal with.  But
honestly, if you have to pick up in feet of snow, you may as well
forget about it.  :)
