Tina,

Well, guide dog is the specialty. Me, I go back and forth, depending on 
context. For the most part, I use guide dog, since that is what my dog 
does. But when it comes to some discussions, it seems preferrable to go 
with the more generic "service dog." I dunno... Many people seem not to 
know the difference, and I think there are times and circumstances where 
it causes confusion and problems. Then again, the number of things that 
cause confusion and problems on the subject of service dogs, whatever 
their specialty, is truly stunning. /shrug/
