Hi,
Maybe it's just me, but I don't see why people are so upset if you are flying or going some place where there are a lot of people. Is it so wrong for a place to want to make sure that the dog that is would not have is a well trained dog.
I can go on line and buy a harness and everything I would need to look like I have a guide dog. The only thing I would not have is a well trained dog .
I get it, we don't want to be questioned every time you go shopping, but if I am on an airplane with a dog, I would like to know that the dog has been trained to be in a plane.
If you have a metal hip or something like that, you get questioned by security .

Subject: [nagdu] Security check
Last night, we went to a concert. A security person wanted to check over
Ben, not sure why, but I let her. She ran her hands over him, like they do
at the airport, then she looked at his ID tags. Ben has 2: one with my
address, and one saying Seeing Eye and their address. I think she was
confirming that he's a genuine service dog.
I thought it was funny and a bit odd. In 34 years, I don't remember anyone
ever looking at the school ID tag.
Tracy
