Yes, if I find myself where I have to put Lexia on tie down when she has
only the choke chain, I put it on the dead ring. However, this does not
usually happen as she wears a cloth collar as well almost all the time, so I
just hook the tie down to the ring of the cloth collar.

GDA has us change collars to a flat collar at night (his sleeping collar, my
husband calls it); you can probably get close to the same thing putting the
end of the tie-down on the dead ring.
	Had my broker not cheated me, our master bedroom would be large
enough for a crate,  which I prefer myself.

Oh, that's nice. In 2007, GDB gave us tie downs, and there were hooks on our
walls for them. I requested a crate for Lexia for two reasons. First, that
is what she would be using once home, and, even though I was pretty sure
that she had had experiences with them, I just wanted to try it before going
home. Second, Lexia is one of those kind of goofy  dogs who never learned
not to tie herself up in her tie down or leash, so I just did not feel
comfortable with her sleeping hooked to one, especially when it was hooked
to the choke chain collar.

Isis is in her crate right now chewing on her Nylabone and I think
considering taking a nap.

Our walks have been awesome!
