Hi Daryl:

Actrually the CTA (canadian transportation agency) mandates that all public carriers such as plane, train or bus must provide a seat space for any service dog that is over 50 pounds. Air Canada does this as well as West Jet. However, I recently had issues with Air Canada where they over booked a flight to Toronto and tried to tell me that there was no seat for Bogart or my blind hockey team mates dog victor when they had both been booked ahead of time. Air Canada tries to put you in bulkheads but they have many different types of planes where as west jet has only one model number. I was giving air canada heck as well for putting Bogart and me into seats on the way back that weren't appropriate for Bogart because there were obstructions that prevented him from going under the seat.
