Hi.
she is probably whining because she is excited. especially since you say she is rushing when you get off the bus.
it will be interesting to see what a school will tell you to do to get her to stop.
it's like any bad behavior, you will prob have to correct her and say no.
to bad it's on a bus full of people. hmmm.
when i first got my dog she tried that whining stuff with me. fortunately it was before we got on the bus or into a car. she was so excited, pulling and dragging me. but, after a few corrections and no's and time, she knows that she gets to go lots of places so, it's not such a big exciting deal.

Also, the drivers here are very patient... if Jenny starts to rush off, I will ask them if it's OK if they give me 30 seconds or so to re-work the rush off the bus. More times than not, they're just fine with it... Perhaps ask this of the drivers in your area?

The only time Jenny will whine on the bus is if her bum is wet from rain or melting snow, for which I have started carrying a towel in my purse, backpack and/or coat pocket. Perhaps if we know what prompts the whining, we can offer suggestions?
