When I first received my dog, he tended to work in the center of
sidewalks and pull slightly left in larger hallways. Since he was
taught both "over left" and "over right" it was pretty easy to fix
this. I noticed that once he actually started working in very crowded
hallways, he figured out it was a better idea to stay closer to the
right since most high school students haven't quite figured out the
concept of walking in a continuous straight line on the right side of
the hallway, let alone looking at what's in front of them.

I believe the most effective way to keep a dog toward the right side
of a hallway is to praise him/her every time he/she keeps to this
side, whether it is prompted or not.
