Ever since I got the Golden Guy when he was 2, he has been very
laid-back and gentle both in and out of harness. He plays just as hard
as he works, but he is still far more down-to-earth than most
labradors and his female counterparts. I know for a fact that his
sisters that went out in other classes were more wired and energetic
creatures. My puppy-raisers got to see the spunky girls graduate, and
said they were definitely animals with different personalities.
When I was asked if there was anything specific to consider about the
dog I would get, aside from being golden, I said I wanted a dog that
would be ready to go when it was time, but would also just chill with
me. That's exactly what I got: a very chill golden.
