The receptionist at the place where I have a regular meeting says, “oh, you have a new dog.  Do you have to trade the old one in for the new one, like with cars?”

Oh, my!

I wish I could come up with witty things to say on the spur of the moment, but all I could think to say was, “no, Monty is at home and still goes places with me from time to time”

Where do people get these weird ideas?
