Sorry Barb, but this is one of the worst reasons I can think of 
to get a guide dog, and when people who really need a dog have to 
wait six months sometimes, it would be a waste of a perfectly 
good guide dog.  They are not trained to guard either.  Some dogs 
are more protective of their owners than others.  I've known dogs 
that would just lick someone to death, rather than protect.
