Hi, all,
Although I know this is not guide dog related, I thought to share my experience with the company in my subject line.
Two weeks ago while I was staying with my friend Al and Lisa Travers, I had an accident in their home.
A third person who happened to be living there failed to open the front door all the way or close it.
My hands were full of trash which happened to be in a trash bag, needing to go out.
I slammed the right hand side of my face on the edge of the front door which the shock eventually triggered a seizure later on.
Lisa called 9 1 1 and Cunningham Fire and Ambulance came immediately, less than five minutes.
She went back to the bedroom where her roommate was and let him know what happened and as for fair justice because of his carelessness, he ought to go with me to Parker Adventist Hospital.
Cunningham Fire and their paramedics treated Odie and I with lots of care and respect.
I contacted them by phone today to give my thanks and appreciation.
I also will be writing a letter to them too.
Cunningham's paramedics and firemen didn't try to beat around the bush.
They were willing to ask questions in regards of Odie upon his role of being a medical alert response service dog.
They also asked me how Odie would fare in the ambulance and I let them know that it wasn't a problem for him at all.
After sharing this experience, I hope I can get this out over the web for all emergency personnel to be watching it.
