Hi John, I really think that you might want to contact Guiding 
Eyes for the Blind.  They have a special needs program, and can 
work with people who have other disabilities besides blindness.  
You spoke of your seizures and other issues that you have had.  
If you are considering California, then New York State is not 
that much of a stretch, from Michigan.  I'm not a grad of GEB, so 
I don't have tons of knowledge about their program, but I do know 
that they seem to train dogs and have classes for people that
