[nagdu] winter coats

Monty has a coat that goes on over the harness.  However the lady that made 
them is apparently out of business.  The web site is no more.  I would love 
to have one of her coats for Jetta.

Last year I ended up purchasing a commercially made coat from King Wholesale 
and modifying it.  I sewed in extra fleece to thicken the insulation.  Then 
I cut holes so the handle could be threaded through.  This way I only had to 
take the handle off, not the whole harness, to put the coat on and take it 
off.

I'm not particularly happy with Jetta's coat.  It doesn't come down as far 
on the sides as I'd like and the neck area is a bit snug for easy use. 
She could wear Monty's coat, but it's a bit large on her.

I'd love to have a winter coat for Jetta that comes down on the sides, or 
has a belly cover, so that her underside is also warm.  I'd want a bit to 
come up around her neck.  If it kept her legs covered, that would be a huge 
bonus.  And I want the whole thing to go on over the harness.  Yes, I'm 
picky, about most everything actually.

I still haven't found the perfect coat, but I'm still looking.

Hi Y'all,
I live in Louisiana where it's warm more frequently than not.  However, I'll 
be traveling to the frozen north this winter.
My dog, Soleil and I do urban mushing, bikejoring, canicross, scooterjoring 
etc.  On our travels to the north this winter I'm hoping to go skijoring and 
I am searching for a good winter coat for Soleil who is a lab, yes, but a 
lab from the swamp and who gets cold quicker than yankee labs!
I know they have coats made of polar material, but if I get one of these, I 
want one with a waterproof shell on the outside as we will be mushing 
through high snow and the coat will need to shake off some of that.
I'd like to get it now, so she can practice wearing it and so I won't be 
rushed because winter will be here before you know it!
Thanks for any ideas!
