[NAGDU] Is this acceptable

There's acceptable and there's legal. Whether or not the situation was
acceptable is a judgment call only you can make. As far as legal, my
armchair not a lawyer opinion is, no.

My understanding of a sterile environment a dog cannot enter is one in which
entrance requires scrubbing, showering, gowns, facemasks or other
specialized gear. This sounds like they use sterile equipment, but it's not
a sterile room. It would be like a dentists exam room. A sterile room is
like an operating room, a burn unit or a contagious disease isolation area.

It's also a red flag to me that she changed her reasoning several times. If
she had stuck with one reason, I'd be more apt to believe that's what she
really thought, right or wrong. changing the story makes me think she just
didn't want the dog there and was grasping to find something to say that
would get her results.

I hope you get it sorted to a result that works for you,

I had blood drawn at my doctor's office this morning. My husband
drove me over and I took Emma. When I was called back the woman who
drew the blood told me I would have to leave my dog with my husband.
I asked her why and she said it was a sterile environment. I told her
it had neer happened to me before. She then said there wasn't room
for the dog. She also said pets weren't allowed in there and I told
her my dog was not a pet. My husband did keep the dog and I plan to
make a complaint to an administrator but I want to know if I am
correct in my thinking. What would have happened if my husband was
not there?
