[nagdu] water intake question

Hi John.
I've had 7 dogs now. All of them are different. Some were camels, and
hardly seemed to drink much at all. Others loved a drink. I have to
watch Krokus, or he'll tank up on water, then need to go out at an odd
time. Dogs know how much they need to drink, trust me. Your job is just
to offer water.
I just recently got out of class at TSE. They had us giving 2 cups of
water at breakfast, lunch, 4:00, and 1 cup around 8:00 PM. Shortly after
offering water, we took the dogs out. I usually take the dog out 5 times a
day.
If you're not happy with leaving water down all day, or Mollie is having
accidents, you could put her on a similar water and/or relieving schedule.
Schedules are important for young dogs, and brand-new handlers, I think.
You both get used to doing things at certain times, so you don't forget to
do them.
And don't let all these "helpful" people get you down. What do they
really know?

How old is Mollie, exactly? I could say Krokus is a year old, but it's
more accurate to say he's 23 months old. How many months old is Mollie?
Good luck.
Tracy
