[nagdu] Trimming golden paws

All three of my goldens have been rolled on their sides. I always touch and
hold their paws. Firm even touch and then I start snipping with my faithful
six inch scissors. Jake has a particularly ticklish back foot. But my
consistent firm but gentle touch settles him down, but I am quick with that
back paw paw, smile. I cut the hair all by touch. It really is easy and have
never pinched my dogs paws in twenty years of trimming. I pull the hair up
and snip away.

Subject: [nagdu] Trimming golden paws

Hi, all,

Fawn is a lab/golden cross, but she has enough golden in her that her paws
need to be trimmed. I have a tiny pair of grooming scissors, but Fawn does
not like holding still while I trim her paws. She tries to pull them away,
and also will mouth my hands like she does when we're playing. I don't want
to correct her too much because I don't want her to get negative
associations with this. Do you all have any suggestions? Thanks!
