[nagdu] Scraped paws?

Hi!
I took Jenny for a run today, and noticed at the end that she was slowing down.  Got her home, and noticed that her back paw pads are scraped slightly.  We have cleaned them out, they are not bleeding, and she walks and runs on them just fine now that we are home.
How concerned should I be about this?  Any advice on whether to just keep cleaning them, or to cover them?  I am less inclined to cover them because it is really wet and muddy out here...
