[nagdu] Summer workplace issue

Dan, I'm sure that there are times when people say they don't
want dogs because of this or that. But there are workplaces that
are genuinely not safe for dogs. Where I'm working as a temp is
a good place to start with. There are probably certain areas
where it would be okay, like when pre-assembling is being done,
though the possibility of small objects falling on the floor and
being a big temptation to some dogs, comes to mind. Other places
where I work people are moving quickly in packaging. It's not
like you're sitting down at a table and putting this-so in to a
kit. There are people coming and going, big boards being lifted,
people using machines to press, punch, cut. Dust flies
everywhere and we all have to wear safety glasses and ear
protectors. And even when doing pre-assembly, there will often
be big bins of parts being moved about. I don't like being apart
from my dog, but I know that I'd worry about her if she was in
our work areas. So there's tons of information that I don't
have. If you're just sitting at a table putting things into a
box, it might be different. But it really depends. Debby and
Nova
