Hi everyone, I'lm here at Convention with myst guide from Guiding Eyes and The first day was a little rough because my guide has National Convention. I have been here 2 times before getting my guide. My girl was a little stressed the first day or two but has settled down a great deal. She has been ran into and hit by canes and she done est conget out of the way. I cannot help her because I have no vision and mild to moderate hearing loss. I cannot hear where people are really here at Convention so unfortunately my dog has more responsibility to get me through the canes and dogs. She has done very well this week despite my fear that she would not. I have been giving her some downtime every day and I have been very supporting of her this week, praising her often and not getting worked up about the occasion dog sniff, but calmly asking her to leave whatever it is alone and she will do so willingly. But I have refrained from correcting for thel things but simply redirecting her and it has rey helped her. It has recuced both mine and her stress. And honestly I ask for help from the volunteers here when I need it. If Ih to just heel her then that's what I do. Hope everyone is enjoying their Convention!
