It's hard in some ways living with a retired dog. I usually give Lamar a big hug, pet him a little bit, then send him to his place. Later on, I might give him a treat. My husband also helps distract him by playing with him. So you might want to ask your husband if he would help distract Ben. Hope this helps. Debby and Nova
