Having received dogs from Seeing Eye since 1981, I certainly am 
thankful of the opportunity to have received my dogs, just as I'm 
grateful or thankful when my husband does something nice for me.  
But that doesn't stop me from telling my husband if I disagree 
with him about something, or telling Seeing Eye either, for that 
matter.  There's a difference between being grateful, thankful, 
however you want to word it, and being a sycophant.     Debby and
