I think it's because it's one of the things that we can have 
control over.  You know, like I can choose to eat carrots and 
celery or I can eat chips.  Both are good tasting, one choice is 
more healthy than the other, but still, it's my choice.  It gets 
into personal space, and all kinds of things.  And our dogs are, 
in a way, extensions of ourselves.  (Except that I don't give my 
dogs chips).    Debby and Nova
