Yes, ADA states that a guide/assistance dog is permitted to be with their other half wherever they go, despite a few circumstances.
I have a confession to make to you'alls.
I had a fear of dogs for a long, time after a teacher at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind was attacked by five rottwillers in Colorado Springs.
This happened many years ago in on December 6, 1988.
Only way I got past that fear was to get a guide dog.
As for the dog allergy thing coming up, I'm noticing that on the rise, more and more.
One of mine is dander, but it's much rougher with long hair breed dogs.
I usually brush Odie upon spraying him with Pethead is Better for Dogs deoderizer yogurt-strasberry scented.
I find it does help cut back on the dander.
I do know of a few guide dog handlers on another list who actually put a doggy pillow, bed or crate in their work station for the dog to go into.
They find it works best for them to prevent attention drawing.
darryl, best of luck to you and Jenny, let's hope for a good happy ending and turn out.
Bibi and MAR son Odie
