[nagdu] Dealing with dog hair

Yes, there are cat brushes,

I had a dog, Tia, who was a crazy shedder. It seemed like she should be
bald, but she wasn't. Regular brushing helps and sometimes I would vacuum
her. She was seriously unflappable though. I don't know how many dogs
would stand to be vacuumed. I just used the hose attachment with no brush
on it. Brush first to loosen hair, then a quick vacuum to pull out all the
loosened hair and we'd be good for about a day! *smile*

I'm wondering if static electricity is contributing to the loose hair
sticking to everything? Perhaps a bit of humidity in the air would help
keep the hair from floating all over and sticking to fabrics? I don't know,
I'm just guessing here. The winter months do seem to be worse for hair
everywhere.

Have you ruled out any health concerns, like a thyroid issue? Some dogs are
just serious shedders, but if it's a new thing or is accompanied by any
other symptoms, it might be worth a check.

You can get clothing brushes, (Seeing Eye used to give them out,
or sell them), and there's some kind of tape thingy-ma-bobber
that you can get that will take the hair off too, (along with
part of your sweater). Lol. Boy, I know, it can be awful. Owe
have two dogs, and a cat. Neena gets brushed pretty much daily,
but I'm ashamed to say Lamar (my retired guide) doesn't
necessarily. But even with brushing every day, there's just a
lot of fur. And it seems to go everywhere, especially certain
times of the year. Now, it is warming up here, so both dogs, and
the cat are beginning to shed. By the way, does anyone know if
they make cat brushes? Or Cat combs? Peace, Debby with
Neena
