Hi Sandra, yeah, I know. There's a place near me that employs
blind folks. They are legally blind, but are high partials.
They're the first ones hired as temps, and the totals are the
last hired, first fired. And I've seen high partials leave their
dogs by their seats in a crowded room and walk across the room to
talk to someone or get coffee or whatever. I don't have sour
grapes, I just want dogs to be used to ;the fullest potential.
And it does make me VERY angry when high partials make snide
remarks about totals who are having difficulty doing something.
The high partials who have had to do training under sleepshades
are a lot more understanding. And there is a "blindness"
hierarchy, still today. Debby
