If you know her, why not get in touch and talk with
her? At least point out that her lawyer doesn't seem to be 100 percent on
her side. Also, if this is so out of what you know her to be, find out to
the best of your ability if she's ok. Dimentia can set in at her age and one
form of it, temporal dementia I think is the term manifests itself in
personality changes.
I only read part of the article and it sounded a bit sensationalized like
something The Daily Mail would produce.

This is a very sad and terrible situation. I'm sorry, but there is no
reason for a dog to bite three people. If, and I say if, all of this is
true, the dog should be taken away from this woman. The sad thing is that I
know her. I know her as a warm, bubbly, caring person. I do not understand
what this is all about. But it sounds like everybody has an agenda. Her
attorney sounds like he has an agenda other than protecting Connie. What I
don't understand is where is her school in all of this? Why are they not
stepping in to either take the dog if it is warranted, or helping her if it
is not? I have to say if it were me and my dog bit even one person, I'd be
calling my school, I'd be wanting some serious help and I would want to make
sure that I had done all that I could to keep my dog from biting again. If
it required a muzzle then so be it. I am just so so sorry to read
about this. Debby
