Hi xatt, you could just not go, and that's up to you.  But you 
probably will have times when you need to leave her home.  If you 
want to go to the party, go.  Perhaps you won't have to stay for 
the whole thing.  If she is crate trained, I'd put her in her 
crate while you go, and maybe have some music or something, like 
that on so she has something to listen to.  She'll mibbs you, but 
she'll be okay.  Just make sure you take her out to relieve 
before you go.  Hope this helps.    Debby
