Hello everyone!

I have some exciting news to share, and I wanted to get this information out
to as many of you as possible.

We are moving forward with plans to form a guide dog users division in Texas
and we are reaching out to those of you who are guide dog handlers and those
who are interested in learning about becoming a dog user.

We also want to encourage people to get involved who want to learn how to
advocate on behalf of yourselves or others who face discrimination involving
access to transportation, housing, or public places because of having a
guide dog.

The National Association of Guide Dog Users and the National Federation of
the Blind of Texas are working together on this worthwhile project. We are
having a short conference call at 4 p.m. central time on Sunday, September
20 to discuss the development of the division in more detail.

I encourage you to take part in the call.

Here is the information:

Call in number: 641-715-3300
Access code: 560908

Also, please contact me via email at

about becoming involved in the division.

I also created a Facebook called Guide Dog Users Committee of the National
Federation of the Blind of Texas.

Best regards, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
