So, call me a worry wart, but I'd take Thai to the vet just to 
have his tail looked at.  There are small bones in their tail 
that could break.  If that's the case, it might need to be 
immobilized until it mends.  I accidentally shut my first dog's 
tail in a door too.  Boy, she did yelp! I freaked out, took her 
to the vet.  They said that it was a good idea because of the 
small bones in the tail.  Fortunately she was okay.    Debby and
