[NAGDU] Treat delivery

I am still c&t-ing Krokus at downcurbs quite a bit.  I grab the kibble
between thumb and forefinger and stick it in his mouth.  I've tried having
him lick it out of my palm instead, but he often seems to drop it.  That
leads to an opportunity to stop him scavenging, but requires a second
treat, at least in my and his opinion.
Is there a better way than these to give him the treat?
