If your dog is a lab or golden, get another vet. Because of their
chewing habits, Labs and Goldens rarely need to ever have their cleaned,
unless there is something else wrong with them.

There they didn't charge me anything for my vet visits, just for the things I needed like flea meds etc. Sadly, they went out of business last year probably due to the fact that another vet opened a block away. Bogart went there for the first time last month and perhaps my approach wasn't solid since all my other vets gave me such a good deal but she didn't seem so open to either of those previous scenarios. She is giving me 30% off a visit charge which makes it about $30 now which I guess isn't so bad.

There is a $200 necessary blood test before as well to ascertain his over all health. By coincidence we stumbled on information at our pet store for people who clean the dogs teeth without sedation for about $150. Has anyone had experience with this? I talked to my school and he agreed to give the non-sedation method a try first and see what the results are.
