[NAGDU] Play Biting

I get it. I let my pet do it because he never causes any harm. He won't do
it with someone he doesn't know. We say he commits the crime of bite and
run! He will run up and play bite. When you go to get him, he will run and
when your not paying him attention, He does it again! Holly has never done
that.

Thanks everyone.
She never hurts anyone when she does it but I am wanting to work with teens
that are either troubled or that have been abused and I cannot have her
doing this. Some kids could be fearful of dogs or say they were "bit" when
she was only playing.
I thank you all for these suggestions and will let you know how things will
turn out.

God Bless,
Christina

Hey there!
I discourage play biting in my pups by giving them a firm no and a GENTLE
tap on the nose. if that doesn't work, I will walk away from them. I have
only had my first dog actually bite down and a quick "no"
with a sharper tap on the snout did the trick.
My mom was terrified of dogs before I got Jada, so the last thing I wanted
Jada doing was trying to "mouth" my mom and make having a dog in the house a
bad experience. Cricket doesn't really mouth unless you are holding on to
her paws or tail, but I can kind of understand that one, yet I still
discourage it because I do not want her even thinking it is ok to mouth/bite
someone who has to have her paw in their hand for what ever reason. (like
the vet clipping her nails.)

Hope this helped!

Abby and the sleepy Cricket!

 Hi Everyone,
How do I stop my dog from play biting.
I tell her pfui when she does it. Is this sufficient?
A friend of mine taught her it.
 Thanks.

 God bless.--Christina
