Wayne, this is correct with all international students with LD. They not only provider interpreters, but also trainers that speak their language. It's really kind of cool. While in class with my last guide in 2012, we had 4 students from Brazil...an awesome experience for all of us.

While I was on class with LD Sequoia, Once ( Pronounced own say ) provided an interpreter for the students from Spain and the students were under the training of Spanish Speaking trainers. The Israeli students spoke fluent English when I was on class with LD Patriot. Yours, Very Sincerely And Respectfully,

Wayne M. Scace

Hi Lisa, I know that The Seeing Eye accepts students from Canada. I thought at one time they accepted students from Israel, too, but I'm not sure about that. One of the things that could be a barrier would be language. As you know from your own training, instructions are often detailed. So either the person would have to speak and understand English well, or might have to bring an interpreter. I guess you'd have to ask around. Peace, Debby
