A slippery slope....Remind me again why diluting our civil rights to go about our daily lives is desirable? What next? Special stickers for users of wheelchairs, walkers, canes, or prosthetic limbs?
Yours, Very Sincerely And Respectfully,
Wayne M. Scace

Sure, the patch is entirely voluntary, but I am not sure how much that
matters. People don't understand those demarkations. When someone at your
local pub says you can't bring the dog in here, and you give the ADA stuff,
they can still say, "Yes, but you need to have it registered." Least that's
how it feels to me.

The patch again is entirely voluntary. They can not! Ask for ID.

In this case, as in California, or any other state, the law that grants the
most protection to the Service Dog Owner will apply. In the case of someone
going through Michigan with an unpatched Service Dog, the protections of
the ADA would pertain.

This concerns me because if I travel to MI and don't have one of those
patches will I be harassed by business owners? What happens then? I know
it says "people can," but that may be interpreted by business owners as
"people must."
Thanks for this update.
