[NAGDU] What's that in front of me?

Nicely done, Viviana and nameless German shepherd--lol
Well poor Great Dane just tied there. But that is a wonderful story.
Now I have a story I was going to tell anyway but you gave me a good
intro..We have had very strong harsh winds, especially yesterday morning, I
walked up the normal twisting sidewalk through thh apartment complex toward
the shopping center.
All of the sudden Parker stops and just won't move, I intoned those magic
words "hop op" (how in the devil do we spell that?) but to no avail, I put
my foot forward, we inched forward, and we found a whole section of what I
think was branches and or maybe part of a tree in front of me. So, we went
around on to the grass and back on the sidewalk, that part of a tree used to
be standing and hanging down. So the moral of the story is:
1. pay attention to what your dog is doing.
2. the environment can change
3. What hangs one day can sprawl the next.
4. don't use Dan as an example because he started swearing at the damned
branch and tree taking up the whole length of the sidewalk, such
language--lol

I'm sure there are more lessons to be learned but I'd better send the
message now before I get even sillier, but I was proud of the Parker Hound
as you were of your beast, Viviana.

Enjoy the day and keep warm everyone

Sincerely,
Dan the man Parker the hound

Subject: [NAGDU] What's that in front of me?

I just had to share.
so, after yoga practice last night, i gathered up my matt and picked up the
harness and headed out the door for my mile long walk home. I was all
stretched out and relaxed from yoga and just walking along as usual when, my
dog stopped in her tracks as if there was something in front of me. i
couldn't hear anything so, i put out my hand to see if i could feel anything
there and, there was a huge dog there in the sidewalk. he must have been
tied up to something and, he was vary big. must have been a great dane or
similar as he had short hair and his head was higher than my waist. so, i
just told my dog forward and she very calmly took me around and went on her
way.
it was justso cool to have her treat another dog like an obstacle. i
couldn't even tell something was coming up, not a move of her head or
anything. i am certain that it helped that the dog was acting almost like a
statue himself.
it was just such a weird experience.
she got plenty of, good girl's.

Vivianna
