Yikes Dan! Good boy Parker! I think you told that driver what he needed to
hear. People just don't think, at all.

Good for you and kudos to your little puppy. I'm so happy he was good at his
work and you are safe.
You know I was walking along the sidewalk and there was an opening to a
parking lot. I crossed and yes, two seconds in to the crossing this genius
gunned his engine, he got so close to me that I felt the wind from the car,
but Parker backed up really fast and I just followed him without question by
instinct,...Now the driver did get out of the car, find me on the other side
and apologize saying he didn't see me...I was in a state of shock and I'll
admit I didn't really say what should have been said, but I said "you know
you need to be careful, next time you could kill someone". I should have
explained the law and all that but I was as I say a little flustered.

That was a few months ago and you're story reminded me of it.

Glad our dogs are watching...and they really are even though we sometimes
don't give them credit for it.

I think that was my initial reason for considering a dog back 24 years ago,
aside from the fact that I love dogs--smile it was a similar thing happened
to me at a crosswalk and the genius ran over my cane...yes memories,
memoreies--lol

Cheers,
Dan the man, Parker the nut

Yesterday, I stepped into the crosswalk and some fool gunned his engine so
he could hurry up and turn right in front of me. Krokus slammed on the
brakes and got a Good Boy! And a big party when we got across. The guy
clearly saw me there, because he speeded up so he could cut in front of me.
Illegal as heck, since a car isn't supposed to even enter the crosswalk when
a blind person is crossing. Not that a cop would do anything about it, even
if one happened to be there. Wouldn't want to inconvenience drivers, after
all. 2 people have been killed this year in this one-block area, but I
don't notice the police doing anything to encourage drivers to be more
careful, or even slow down. Grrrr.

But I was very pleased with my big Krokus. He was mighty slow though, next
time we crossed that street coming back home. I think he expected another
idiot to come flying at him. Smart boy.

Tracy
