[NAGDU] Home alone

Thinking about it, Krokus has been spending more time "alone" this spring,
which is probably what helped me feel confident he could really be alone for
an hour or so. He's "alone" when I'm outside working in the garden, and my
husband is doing his own thing in his man-space. I come in and out as I'm
working, but, if I bother to check, Krokus is sleeping somewhere and not
getting into mischief, like he used to.

Wow, Tracy, it sounds as if Krokus has achieved a milestone. I haven't left
my dog alone enough to trust him, and the others aren't trustworthy anyway.

Yesterday was our town street fair. I decided to leave Krokus home, since
it was only a couple blocks away; it was hot, and my husband and I would be
stopping a lot to investigate booths and fair happenings. I felt Krokus has
matured enough to leave him free in the house, instead of confining him to
the crate. I just put away my shoes, in case my absence aroused his inner
puppy. And he was good, just as I thought he'd be.
Hooray! Even in January, I wasn't sure if he'd be able to be free and alone,
but now he can. The ridiculous one is actually growing up.
