[NAGDU] Reminder

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for your question and observation. It is a fair point and deserves
some explanation.

The 5- message limit was put in place several years ago as people were
making ten, fifteen, and more comments aday without asking questions and
without adding much value to discussions. The NAGDU list is about the most
active NFB list and people were complaining that they were overwhelmed with
"useless emails". Ulsess or not the operators of the list put the limit in
place to keep sanity.

The limit is not a reflection on any individual, but it has helped and kept
discussions moving.

One suggestion which helps is not to respond to every individual comment,
but rather to compose one reply or message responding or reacting to several
emails from other listers.

I hope this explanation helps.

Best Regards,

Michael Hingson
Vice President, NAGDU

Hi,
When was there ever a limit on how many messages could be sent in a day?
Why is this limit in place, especially, if the purpose of this list is to
help people get information and ask questions?
I never knew there was a limit.
Why would you want to limit the amount of questions people can ask?
I seriously hope you'll consider lifting this restriction.
