[NAGDU] Pet insurance

Pet insurance saved us. Metukah, on her own, can be impulsive, and klutzy. At six months, in the backyard, she left her foot beneath a large rock while running and kept going, severing both bones in her left foreleg. That was $8,000. Or was it 10... Six months later, in the front yard running back to the house, she rounded a corner, and tripped herself on the edge of the path, breaking the other leg!
In both cases, she had to have surgery with plates and screws. Then a couple of years later, after a screw began to protrude and we thought she might be diminished by it in overall mood, we did another surgery, to remove the plate from the second leg. She suddenly became a really happy girl. Thank God we insured when we did, or we’d have been in 20k or more by now. It is very worth it. As I put it, we have seven insured legs in our family!
Get insurance!

Does anyone know about insurance for her? She is still doing great, but in case of any thing, I want to be ready. She takes such good care of me everyday, and I want to do everything for her. We have a vet finance allowance from the school, which is very reliable. But, I would like a little extra. Thank you for any suggestions.

It?s better to just put some money aside, if you can. If you are on SSI, though, you may not be permitted to do that and may have to go about it some other way.
