Hi Dalton, Mardi from Arizona here. I am an owner trainer. I use my dogs
from a wheelchair. *I* have trained 3 Siberian Huskies and a Belgian
Shepherd and am currently working on number 5,a Dutch Shepherd. I hope you
like the list as much as I do. Did you train your first dog or was it a
program dog? What made you decide to owner train? My reasons for owner
training were out of necessity. When I needed a guide dog, There were no
schools that trained for wheelchair users. There has since been some that
trained for wheelchair users but I guess they no longer do it now. So, I
will continue to train my own guide dogs.I am 70 years old so the Dutch
Shepherd might be my last guide. But, If I make it to 80 and I'm still
active, I will train another one. Welcome to the list. Mardi and Shaman,
semi-retired and Neechee,GD and Sedona,GDIT.
