My dog's harness has a sign. It says: "Working guide Dog Do Not Pet Me."
It works extremely well. Almost no one ever tries to pet my dog because 
of it. Many say, "I was going to until I saw the sign." Some say, "I 
wasn't going to, and I saw the sign."
