Hello there, one thing that I would recommend is every time you are about to start working with your dog, make sure that you and her are synchronized. Just after putting on her harness, do a quick set of obedience, make it fun. I don't know which all commands you normally do for obedience with her, but a set of the most popular ones you use will help. In my case with my dog Larry, we have fun doing the touch and the down command. So I will frequently raise my voice in a sort of singsong and make it fun and have him do those things to make sure that he and I are on the same page and are communicating. Then sometimes that random while we are walking even if we are in the middle of a block, I will have him stop sit, touch, down, etc. and he may or may not get a treat for it. The end result with my dog is that it helps him keep his attention focused on me and on our work. It comes in to fruition later on when we are out in public and there might be other distractions. I might all of a sudden tell him to do the touch command or the sit command and he may remember that those are fun things that we do. So it helps to redirect his focus.
