[NAGDU] grooming tips and suggestions

Hello all. Just like us humans, our dogs have a variety of different 
styles of coats. Some are super-soft, some are wavy, some are coarse. 
That being said, what are some of everyone's grooming tips for the 
various types of hair? I'm specifically thinking of labs. I've seen some 
labs who shed a little and others who seem to be constantly shedding. I 
also know of course that climate and weather have an influence in these 
things.
