Gary,
Great news about a successor guide. Sorru to here of the passinhg of Bogart. You seem to have a lot of feedback on your questions but I would also like to add my thoughts. I also returned for my second dog after the passing of my first. While all of us who have had successor dogs have a different story we would all agree the transition is tough no matter how prepared you believe you are. It is hard not to compare dogs but attempt not to do this it can lead to you not being as open to another bond. While this dog maybe smaller than Bogart and that may take some adjustment on your part this new dog was chosen for you for a reason.
