[NAGDU] nail grinders for our dogs

I have a Pedi Paws and it worked great for a while. I tried new batteries
and new grinding wheel, but it didn't really help. My husband says it
sounds like the motor is going south.
I got a dremmel tool for Christmas a couple of years ago. Well, actually
the husband got it for Christmas, but I have been borrowing it! *smile* I
use one of the cylinder wheels with a pretty fine grit. I use it on about
1/3 to 1/2 power. It has a lot of settings and the highest take off too
much too fast for me to be able to shape the nail correctly.
I absolutely love the dremmel tool. Lots of power, easy to use and very
quick work. The down side is that it has a cord, a kind of short cord. I
could dig out an extension cord, but never do. I just have to be selective
about where I can use it.
I start at the underside of the tip of the nail. I bring the dremmel up
over the tip of the nail to give it a nice rounded shape. Then if needed I
touch up the sides of the tip of the nail to get rid of any sharp edges.
Each nail only takes a couple of seconds. If I've let them go and need to
take off more, I'll rotate through all the nails twice. If you stay on one
nail for too long it can heat up which appears to be uncomfortable for the
dogs.
