[NAGDU] Wind Ensemble

Hello, All:

I am considering playing in a wind ensemble this summer.  This is 
not something I do often and never since I acquired my guide dog.  
She is used to being with me during performances, but, as a 
singer, I am not in the center of the orchestra, with loud 
instruments on all sides.  If I have Demi with me for the wind 
ensemble gig, she will be under my chair, and I will be sitting 
in the center of the flute section, very close to the brass and 
percussion sections.  Is this advisable? Should I use some sort 
of ear protection for Demi?
