If it is in your luggage, I doubt they will go through it and find your baggies of dogfood anyway. I am pretty sure I did that, but then it was 1998 when I went to Canada.

Tracy, we are facing a similar situation when we travel to Canada. We've done the math as to how long a bag of food will last and hope we have figured correctly. As a backup plan, we do plan to take some extra food in baggies and take our chances with Canadian customs.Happy travels!Tom

I will be travelling to Ireland at the end of July. We will be there 11 days. We have determined that a 5-pound bag of Krokus's food will last 9 days. It was my plan to bring 2 or 3 days' more of food in baggies, same as I would do when travelling inside the US. Is that going to be a problem?

Tracy
